We need you, there is a shortage of referees to work the hundreds of games scheduled each year.

Without enough referees, our league will find it hard to continue. Consider getting trained as a referee to help ensure the continued success of SRSC.

We are always looking for youth and adult referees. Working as a referee can be very exciting and fulfilling. It is an excellent way to stay in shape and get paid at the same time. The Sky River Soccer Club is currently paying the following rates for soccer referees.

Age of Match Center Referee Assistant Referee
U8 N/A N/A
U9/U10 $30.00 N/A
U11/U12 $37.00 $28.00
U13/U14 $43.00 $30.00
U15/U16 $50.00 $35.00
U17/U18/U19 $57.00 $40.00

SRSC will pay for initial class charge and training classes. Referee needs to pay the $58 registration fee, but if you do a minimum of 10 league games in the season this will be reimbursed at the end of the season.

How do you become a soccer referee? Visit the Washington State Referee Committee website (http://www.wareferees.org/AvailableClinics.aspx) and find a Entry level clinic. The registration cut off date is typically a week before the clinic, however a clinic may fill up prior to the registration deadline.

Note: If you don't plan to referee prior to Fall Soccer we recommend you take a clinic in July. Clinics held prior to July 1st provide certification for 2020, those held after July 1st will provide certification for 2020 & 2021.

How old do you have to be? While the clinics are recommended for ages 13 and up, there is no minimum age.
